Ms. Adams opened her solo firm, M. J. Adams Law in 2023 where her primary focus is on foreclosure defense, loss mitigation and other debt solutions. Michelle was introduced to real estate law in 2008 when she first began representing homeowners facing foreclosure. She has practiced law in both Maryland and DC for 28 years, is a member of the Foreclosure Prevention Project and an active member of the Montgomery County Bar Association’s Real Estate and Small Firm sections. This is Michelle’s 11th year as an instructor for GCAAR.

Tom Biegler has been working to serve those in the real estate industry since 2002 and currently serves as a vice president for Truist Mortgage. During the many years working in the industry, Tom has developed an extensive knowledge in the following areas of real estate lending: conventional, FHA, VA, jumbo, portfolio lending, renovation and construction, as well as commercial and development finance. He has volunteered on multiple REALTOR® associations’ education committees. Tom has enjoyed serving as an instructor in continuing education for over 10 years.

Mary Chieppa is an Associate Broker and an instructor for ABR, AHWD, C-RETS, GRI, MRP, PSA, RENE, RSPS, SRES & SRS designation courses as well as Continuing Education for DE, MD, VA and DC. A favorite class to teach is the exam prep class for either broker or salesperson’s exam. She is approaching her 40-year anniversary in Real Estate that has allowed for coaching, sales, mentoring, managing and training.
Content creation has included cowriting and coediting MD law textbook editions 15th-17th, MD and VA law prep textbook, and a selection of Maryland, Virginia and DC CE online courses. Mary is the owner of Plan2Pass Real Estate School for providing the pre-licensing classes and the Broker Course for Maryland. She was previously the Education Manager for the NRT MidAtlantic Region of Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate for Maryland, District of Columbia, Virginia and Delaware. She acted as Corporate Trainer for her company for over 25 years.

Christopher B. Darby is a founding member of Counselors Title, LLC and a principal in the law firm of Pardo & Drazin, LLC (formerly Darby, Nalls, Smyth & Muldoon, LLC). Prior to founding Counselors, Darby served as a settlement attorney, office manager and the Director of D.C. Operations for Universal Settlements.
A native of the Washington area, Chris entered into the title business in 1998 after receiving his law degree from the University of South Carolina. He is a member of the District of Columbia and Maryland Bar Associations and enjoys regularly teaching continuing real estate education courses for local realtors as well as a Real Estate Transactions Law class at the Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law. Chris is also an active member of the local real estate community with service to and membership in DC Land Title Association and the Greater Capital Area Association of Realtors (”GCAAR”) where he has served on the Forms Committee (formerly Contract and Clause Committee) since 2001 and as a Member of the Board of Directors 2025-2026. Chris was honored by GCAAR as its 2007 Affiliate of the Year for his service to the real estate community. He is experienced in residential and commercial real estate transactions and the resolution of contract issues. Licensed to conduct closings in DC, MD and VA, Chris specializes in real estate specific matters including; contracts, land development, condominium conversions and TOPA.

Andrew is an attorney at KVS Title in Washington, D.C. He has been in the title business for over thirteen years and has conducted countless settlements. He has experience reviewing sales contracts, curing title defects and preparing legal documents for real estate transactions. He teaches a variety of continuing education classes to REALTORS® in Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia and has been a GCAAR instructor since 2016. Andrew currently serves as Chair of the Northern Virginia Association of REALTORS® (NVAR) Standard Forms Committee. He received a bachelor’s degree from Boston College, a Juris Doctor degree from The Catholic University of America’s Columbus School of Law and is admitted to both the Virginia and District of Columbia bars.

Greg Flynn is a founding member of Flynn Title Group, which handles settlements throughout Maryland, DC and Virginia. He began his legal career as a law clerk to the Honorable James L. Ryan, Judge of the Circuit Court and then became a Senior Litigation Associate with one of the area’s largest law firms before founding Flynn & Rismiller, LLC.
Mr. Flynn is a member of the Maryland Bar Association, the Montgomery County Bar Association, Maryland Trial Lawyers Association, Federal Bar Association, Catholic University Lawyering Skills Program, District Court Mediation Program (State Certified Mediator), Montgomery County Lawyer Referral Service — Past Chairman, Fee Dispute Resolution Committee, Maryland Land Title Association, and the Judicial Selections Panel. He has over 22 years of experience, including active participation in the 1031 exchange industry and lobbying Congress to retain 1031 exchanges. He has earned the prestigious industry Certified Exchange Specialist designation, served as President, and served many years as a board member of the Federation of Exchange Accommodators, the national trade organization for qualified intermediaries. Brenda Kasuva leads various courses, including all mandatory continuing education, several elective topics in Maryland, DC, & DE, NAR Certification and Designations. She also teaches real estate exam prep to future Maryland salesperson and broker licensees. Brenda’s commitment to professional development is highlighted by her completion of the Distinguished Real Estate Instructor (DREI), GRI designation, Maryland Broker licensing course in 2022, and participation in the 2020 Maryland REALTORS Leadership Academy. Rob Rothstein is an attorney and president of Paragon Title, where he specializes in contract law and real estate settlements. Rob has over 13 years of experience as a leader of Paragon Title and active GCAAR Member. Rob was previously a member of GCAAR’s Young Professionals Network (YPN) and served for three years on GCAAR’s Forms committee.
